Lord, show us the Father and it sufficeth us.” He has been close to Jesus, privy to many manifestations and revelations of God and yet, he missed the greatest revelation of all, the Father. Though unrecognized, the Father had been among them in representation by His Word and His Spirit within Jesus the whole time. Like Phillip and the other disciples that he no doubt spoke for, we too long to have deep and intimate relationship with our heavenly Father! So often, however, He is also making Himself evident among us in representation by His Word and Spirit and we don’t recognize or receive Him.
